DIY Protein Bars

Protein Bars

2 cups oats
½ – 1  cup hemp hearts  (optional)
1 – 2 cups unsweetened coconut
½ – 1 cup shelled unsalted sunflower seeds
2 – 3  scoops protein powder (chocolate or other)
1 – 2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
1 cup of almonds, soaked for 2 hours and drained or chopped almonds
¾  cup walnut pieces
1 cup almond butter or organic peanut butter
2 ripe bananas mashed or 1½ cups apple sauce
½ – ¾ cup melted coconut oil (depending on how much hemp hearts/coconut you put in)
2 tablespoons molasses (to give it a bit of spice)

Mix all ingredients together and place in a 9 x 13 square pan. Press down and refrigerate. Cut into squares.

Keep refrigerated and enjoy within 7 days.
